 Today in class we held a discussion over the questions that we answered yesterday. Many of the questions went into the deeper meanings of the text and what is truly trying to be said about feminism. Now we are starting on a new text. 

Today in class we answered some questions for the text I Want a Wife. The questions were review/reflection questions and made of think about the true meaning behind the text and who it is directed towards.

 Today in class we discussed feminism. During class we went over four main points behind it as well as reading a passage that talks about the expectations a man has for his wife. The text was written by a women and was used in a way to vent her concerns/frustration of the way wives are viewed by men.

 Today in class we continued to work in the worksheet that was given out to us. The video alongside it was about the journeys children must make just to be able to get to school.

 Today in class we were given an assignment that we are going to begin on Wednesday. The paper had questions asking about cultures and traditions of various countries as a sort of introduction to the subject.

 Today in class we had a substitute teacher. We were told to work two exercises with vocabulary then to turn it in.

 Today in class we continued working on the worksheet from the video about single stories. I feel as if this is an important topic because many people are judged and defined by their single stories rather than the whole picture.

 Today in class we watched a video based on stereotypes and “single stories”. These single stories can be very dangerous as they can heavily affect the way people are perceived.

 Today in class we worked on a resume as a part of our career project. We were instructed to get a template off of Microsoft word and to fill it out with our information. This was actually funny to me as this is something that I have already done with my brother before when it came to start applying for colleges.

 Today in class we were given multiple templates in order to complete a project based off the information that we have been researching. 

 Today in class we were given time to complete a worksheet on that statistics of our career choices in college as well as other required things. My two choices were between agriculture worker and fire fighter. I chose to head more towards the agriculture section.

 Today in class we finished up our career sheets from yesterday. The main jobs the test gave me were Agricultural worker and Firefighter. Both of these jobs have around an average pay and demand physical work.
