 Today in class the teacher was absent and we had a sub. The newsela article that was assigned to us today was about climate change and how it affects the time. The article says that we are going to need a negative gap minute soon but due to climate change we might need it later than expected due to it. I do not understand too much about this topic but I think it was interesting to say the least 

 Today in class we answered a worksheet about a budget with minimum wage. This worksheet helped show me the issues that minimum wage workers must go through in order to stay afloat. Many of the average essential prices in Georgia far exceeded the minimum wage coverage for a month. This makes me wonder how people actually make it with such jobs in the world.

 Today in class we watched a video financial disasters such as trying to live with minimum wage. I felt very bad for the woman in the video because she was just barely able to get all the essentials needed to live with her paycheck even with support and was living on paycheck to paycheck with no savings. I feel as if the minimum wage should be raised in order to help people out who are struggling.

Sick/absent. Today I woke up feeling horrible in the morning and decided that it would be better for me to take some medicine and sleep in. It was overall not a good day today. 

 Today in class we were given a new assignment to work on. The assignment was to create an argument supporting, going against, and compromising with an unpopular opinion that was assigned to you. The first unpopular opinion I received was about rap music but was then allowed to be changed to baseball is boring. I feel like this is a topic much better suited to me as I have grown up most of my life playing and watching baseball but as of recently have begun to find it less enjoyable then before.

 For spring break I did not do too much of anything. Usually my family travels somewhere over the break every year but this year we decided to stay at home and relax. I happily spent most of my spring break sleeping in a lot. Most of the other time was used to go hang out with friends. The break was very refreshing and I hope I didn’t have any virtual assignments because I know for sure that i didn’t even attempt to check. Some other things I did during the break were visiting a friend’s family for an easter party that I have genuinely not been to in at least 7-10 years. To say I barely recognized anyone there would be an understatement. Other than that I went to check out some cars over the break. Most of the cars I took a look at were used and decently cheap because I do not have a car of my own at the moment. I hope to get my own car soon so that I do not have to rely on using my parents car.
