 Today in class we were given a make up day in order to get any missing assignments turned in. I have completed all of my assignments so I am turning in all the blogs for this week. 

 Today in class we completed a box sheet about our dream/goal for the future. It covered points such as how we will achieve these goals as well as what possibles things could go wrong. I think that this sheet was very useful as it allowed us to really think about our future and how we plan to achieve these things.

 Today in class we read and discussed the text “Let America be America Again” by Langston Hughes. The text talks about how America has never really felt like America to certain oppressed groups such as African Americans, Latinos, native Americans and more. I think that for the time and even now this was very important way of being heard as well as expressing the feelings that many felt.

 Today in class we were yet again given time in order to finish the book. Alongside that we were give man a new assignment due next Tuesday as a book report. We need to write multiple paragraphs summarizing what we read as well as writing a sort of opinion on it.

 Today in class we were given more time in order to finish reading the book, the sorrow of war. I think this was a very useful day because it helped us catch up on the book due to falling a bit behind on the reading. 

 Today in class we talked about black history in the beginning. We have been covering certain figures that are important to black history for much of the month now and many of these people I do not know much information about. 

 Today in class we looked over more figures in black history and their importance. We also were told to make t charts on how to both respect and disrespect other cultures. I think that many of them were difficult to think about especially in the morning.

 Today in class we continued to listen to and finish the mini projects. Today was a lot more interesting in terms of projects because many people decided to do the playlist presentation. I felt as if the playlists had a lot more charms and really showed more about the person presenting as well as how they think of the character.

 Today in class we listened to the presentations of the mini project for the Sorrow of War. Many students chose to do the trash can project and this is because I felt like it might have been the easiest. Most of the answers for the trash can project were mostly the same which makes sense to me.

Today in class we were given extra time to begin finishing up the project assigned to us. I chose the trash can assignment which required us to choose ten items that would be in the trash can of the character of our choosing.
