 Today we began to explore a new project based on what careers we might have in the future. Two of the top ones that appeared on my list were Firefighters and Agricultural workers. I think these jobs would actually suit me a lot more than some sort of office job.

 Today in class we took a test over the text Antojos. I thought that the test was relatively easy as we covered most all questions in our discussion on Wednesday. Many of the questions did repeat a few times just in a little bit of a different way.

 Today in class many of the groups presented our projects in front of the class. Many of us discussed very similar ideas when it came to the reading passage. Most ideas centered around people wanting to reconnect with their culture.

 Today in class we started on a new project/text for a presentation on Wednesday. My role is to find parts of the paragraphs that might hold some sort of importance to the story and information as a whole.

 Today in class we had a substitute teacher. During class we were also given an assignment to write down vocab words and complete the activities assigned with them.

 Today in class we covered different stereotypes about Latinos and Hispanics. We were shown a TED talk as well as reading a shorter story to see the problems that are faced by Latinas. I think that I have been really lucky to have grown up with so many different cultures around me as it has given me the opportunities to experience the differences as well as the similarities. It is obvious when someone is uncomfortable with another culture usually due to not knowing much about it other than the stereotypes. 

 Today I presented Venezuela in front of the class. I lost the 50/50 by an inch but that’s just luck I guess. I do not think I did the best on my project but I did try l. But it was overall a learning experience.

 Today in class certain students were selected to present their projects on the different countries assigned. I’m the presentations things such as art, foods, government and more were shared as informations in the different projects. I do not feel as if mine holds up to the other ones.

 Today in class we were assigned a new project based on the new unit we are starting. I was assigned to do Venezuela for my project and began research.

 Today in class we finally constructed our essays. I did not really like the way we went about it just crunching the whole thing out in an hour but that’s just me personally. I think I did fine on the essay but it was nothing special 

 Today in class we were given a sheet that outlines the steps we are going to take when writing out essays. We also had the chance to pick a claim from the five prompts that were provided to us. This has me thinking about how I am going to structure it.

 Today I’m class we discussed the main structure of our essay and what would be included within it. We started on our claims and were tasked to find evidence that could support these claims. This got me to start thinking about what my claim would be about
